Creams for dry skin contain oils, which isn't a good combination if you have acne prone skin. This is how you treat acne and dry skin:

Start by gently washing your face with a soap and oil-free cleanser. When treating dry skin, you can use a cream cleanser, a cold cream, or non-comedogenic oil. Apply your facial cleanser, massage, and then wipe off using warm water.

After cleansing, apply a moisturizing cream. If you have dry skin, make sure that you use an alcohol and fragrance-free moisturizer and reapply as often as necessary.
